Latitude Care Network
LCN supports the most vulnerable members of the society who are predominantly people affected with old age and disabilities or ill-health problems, children and young people, poor single parents, the unemployed, refugees and asylum seekers and people affected with war, poverty and other natural disasters. Programmes and services provided include: Health, Social Care and Social Support. Information, Advice and Advocacy. Campaigning and Lobbying for Good Causes. Education, Training and Employment Support. Counselling/Psychosocial Support. Sponsors or Undertakes Research. Social, Recreational and Cultural Events/Activities. International Overseas Development Programmes. Act as Umbrella or Resource Body for other Agencies. Environmental Awareness Activities. Signposting and Appropriate Referral. Volunteering Opportunities - activities that support the wellbeing of our service users and the volunteers themselves. And more recently LCN has invested and developed the Micro-finance Mutual Aid Loan Scheme aimed at increasing the outreach and as an important part of poverty reduction of the poorest clients. The majority of the services are delivered through the work of the dedicated volunteer community outreach activities and in collaboration with many other agencies.
