Perinatal Outreach Service

The service aims to provide community based treatment to women with mental health problems during the late antenatal or postnatal period in the Brent and Harrow area. Assessment of mental health by the perinatal outreach team in the client's home, GP surgery or maternity unit can be carried out. Individual, couple or family therapy can be offered. The service helps build the mother's confidence with parenting skills and general coping skills. The service will refer to the appropriate agency/service if necessary.
