If you are feeling really stressed or upset, there are a number of ways for you to get help. The important thing is that you tell someone how you are feeling, and try and get help as soon as possible.
- Samaritans 08457 90 90 90 - Samaritans provide confidential non-judgemental support, 24 hours a day.
- Brent Mind Contact Service 0207 604 5184 - The contact service provides free information and advice to people on all mental health matters. All staff are trained and experienced community workers with extensive local knowledge and counselling skills.
- Brent Centre for Young People 0207 328 0918 - the centre provides mental health, drugs and alcohol and practical support services to young people and their families. Contact the centre to be seen immediately by dedicated, highly qualified and experienced professionals.
- Childline 0800 1111 - you can call Childline anytime to talk about anything; no problem is too big or too small.
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) - visit the website for information and links for professionals from health, local authority and the voluntary sector who are involved in the development and delivery of child and adolescent mental health services.
- NHS Direct 0845 4647 - is ready for your call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They can give information and advice on a wide range of health topics, including mental health.
