alternative therapies

Alternative therapies can be used alongside or as a replacement to conventional medicine. There is growing scientific evidence to support the usefulness of alternative therapies; like hypnotherapy, reflexology and aromatherapy. More and more people are turning to alternative therapies to help relieve the symptoms of illness, or to recover completely. It is generally believed that alternative therapies offer a more natural approach, with fewer side-effects than 'mainstream' medicine.

Have a look through the list on the left for a brief introduction into a few alternative therapies. You can find information on other alternative therapies on the NHS Directory of Complimentary and Alternative Practitioners website.
