sleep

Getting enough sleep is a really important. If you are run down it can make everything more difficult; even the simplest of decisions or tasks can seem impossible to deal with.

Here are some ways to help you get enough sleep;

  • going to bed at a similar time each day
  • eating a healthy diet
  • doing some form of physical activity during the day
  • drink less caffeine
  • try some relaxation techniques, especially before you go to bed
  • make sure your bedroom is a calm and relaxing place e.g during exams, try not to study in your room
  • try aromatherapy - lavender oil can really help you get to sleep
  • try drinking chamomile tea before you go to bed
  • there are herbal remedies if you're having difficulties sleeping, like valerian root - ask for advice at your local health food shop.
