Getting enough sleep is a really important. If you are run down it can make everything more difficult; even the simplest of decisions or tasks can seem impossible to deal with.
Here are some ways to help you get enough sleep;
- going to bed at a similar time each day
- eating a healthy diet
- doing some form of physical activity during the day
- drink less caffeine
- try some relaxation techniques, especially before you go to bed
- make sure your bedroom is a calm and relaxing place e.g during exams, try not to study in your room
- try aromatherapy - lavender oil can really help you get to sleep
- try drinking chamomile tea before you go to bed
- there are herbal remedies if you're having difficulties sleeping, like valerian root - ask for advice at your local health food shop.
