The Mayor's Charity Appeal 2011/12

We are delighted to announce that The Worshipful the Mayor of London Borough of Brent, Councillor Aslam Choudry, has officially announced that Brent Mind is one of the two charities chosen for hisMayor's appeal appeal this year, alongside the Central Mosque of Brent.

To mark the start of this initiative, Brent Mind will take part in two community events. The first one is 'Queens Park Day', a popular summer fair with various fun competitions, fancy dresses, stalls with food and information about charities and local groups, as well as businesses.

The second one is the annual 'Brent Fun Run and Walk' at Fryent Country Park. This is an opportunity for everyone to keep fit and raise funds at the same time. Brent Mind's Chief Executive, Daniel Cartwright, will join in the fun and put himself forward to be a sponsored runner.

Planning is underway on other fundraising events in the borough. Details  will be available from the Mayor's office and from Brent Mind shortly.

All donations and money raised for the Mayor's charities will be shared equally between Brent Mind and the Central Mosque of Brent (unless otherwise stated).
