Services

Brent Mind works to support recovery from Mental Health distress in a way that builds resilience and independence. We provide services through outreach work in the community as well as by providing a service base for our users:

  • Befriending - a scheme for adults who are experiencing mental health problems and who are lonely and socially isolated.

  • Counselling - one to one counselling for people living in Brent.

  • Community Housing - offers high quality supported housing for people who experience or have experienced mental distress.

  • Horizon Drop In - a regular group session for adults over 18 with mental health needs, who can socialise and get involved in a variety of activities.

  • Healthy Minds - is a programme which aims to improve mental health by involving people in a wide variety of physical activities.

  • Mind Map - a young people's project that raises awareness and promotes positive attitudes towards mental health.

  • Mutual Support Group - a friendly group where you can gain support while supporting others and developing your confidence and skills.
  • Rainbow - is a weekly social group for women over 50 experiencing mental distress and aims to provide therapeutic and stimulating activities and trips.

Many of our services are provided on contract to NHS Brent and Brent Council. In addition, we receive charitable funding from The Big Lottery for two of our services and smaller donations from a range of businesses, charitable trusts and supporters.
